Asus Fonepad with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor, 32GB internal storage now available in India for Rs. 17999(Updated with Photos)

Asus launched the Fonepad in India with 3G data support and voice calling capabilities back in April.

Later the Fonepad was upgraded with a more powerful processor and 32GB internal storage in May.

Now the new Fonepad(ie upgraded one) is available from online retailer Flipkart. Apart from the processor and the internal memory, the new Fonepad has similar features including a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, 3-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).



The Intel Atom chip was used in the Xolo X500, Xolo X900, X910 and ZTE Grand X IN.

The upgraded Asus Fonepad is priced at Rs. 17,999 and comes in Champagne Gold color. It is expected to be officially launched in India later this week.
