Apple has released a new update for iOS 7.1.1. The OTA update is a minor one over iOS 7.1, which was released last month. Many users had then complained about faster battery drain while iPhone 4S users complained about not being able to connect to Wi-Fi networks. The release notes for the update, however does not mention any of these as important bug fixes. The update is compatible with the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s and iPhone 4, as well as recent iPad and iPod touch models 5th generation.
Here’s the brief change log for iOS 7.1.1 provided by Apple:
- Further improvements to Touch ID fingerprint recognition for 5s
- Fixes a bug that could impact keyboard responsiveness
- Fixes an issue when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled
Grab the update on your iOS device by checking “Settings,” then “Software Update.” The file is roughly 26 MB, so the update will not take too long.
