HTC has made the One mini 2 official, which is a smaller and less powerful version of the One (M8) flagship device. The device will be available in Asian markets sometime later this month, but HTC hasn’t revealed a specific date for the launch in India.
As far as specifications are concerned, the One mini 2 features a 4.5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. On the photography front, unlike the flagship device’s Duo Camera, the mini variant gets a 13-megapixel rear camera with Zoe, supplemented with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
The device also features 16GB of storage that can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card,dual-front speakers with BoomSound technology and 2,100mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under the latest Sense 6 UI.
One mini 2 will be available in Gunmetal Gray, Glacial Silver and Amber Gold color variants and goes on sale sometime later this month.
