Microsoft has sent out an invite to Tech Reporters for an event in New Delhi on May 12. Though the invite doesn’t explicitly mention any device, the company could launch the Lumia 630.
Nokia unveiled the Lumia 630 at Microsoft’ BUILD conference last month and then showcased it at an event in Delhi a day later. The invite has a tagline, “The Power of Two”, which could be a reference to the Lumia 630’s dual-SIM capabilities.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Lumia 630 sports a 4.5-inch ClearBlack FWVGA (854×480 pixels) display and is powered by Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.2GHz. Also included is 512MB of RAM and 8GB internal storage that can be expanded to up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The device also features a 5-megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus, and a 1,830mAh battery that the company claims is good enough to survive 13.1 hours of talktime and 25 days on standby mode.
As mentioned above, the Lumia 630 runs on Windows Phone 8.1 and comes with dual-SIM support. It also includes new features like SensorCore low-power motion sensor with Bing Health and Fitness apps, Microsoft Office, Nokia Camera, free Nokia MixRadio streaming, and HERE maps among others. Though there is no word on the price in India, the device was launched for $169 without taxes and subsidies, which translates to Rs 10,123 approximately.
