XS Powercard
For any smartphone user, owning a portable battery power bank has become as necessary as an iPhone user needing a protective case. So much so, we called it the gadget of the year for 2013. A startup, Xyra is now claiming it has a portable charger that can fit into the credit card slot of your wallet.

Priced at Rs 2,099/-, the XS powercard is a portable charger that can not only charge your smartphones but can also be used as a portable USB drive that can fit into wallet. It measures 6.3mm in thickness and has a 2,200mAh rechargeable battery, which as per the company’s claims offers standby time of up to 150 days. The company also claims that the charger can charge your smartphone at least once.

The XS powercard comes with a detachable memory card which can store up to 32GB of data. It has built-in USB cable, which can be used to transfer data from smartphone as well as PC.

“The idea was to evolve the average power bank, and through it, redefine your portable charging experience. We wanted the device to seamlessly exist in your life,” Arzan Irani, Co-Founder and Engineer of Xyra, said. “To do this, it was imperative to design a charger that fits into a person’s existing patterns of behavior, and so we developed the XS powercard: a smart-charger for your smartphone,” he added.

Xyra has launched the XS powercard for price starting from Rs 2,099/- or $34 through crowdfunding website Indiegogo. Xyra is hoping to raise $50,000 to kickoff production on a large scale and is offering a discount of up to 35 percent off the future retail price on Indiegogo. You can check it out video here.
